I always save them as PNGs.... Makes things so easy for me. ^_^

Every time I save a file(animations excepted), I do it as a JPEG. JPEGs are superior to every other file type. They can be loaded onto any file holding site, they don't need a preview image on Deviant Art and they just plain rock.
